Dr. Penny Mericle attended Temple University for both Pharmacy and Dental degrees. She received her Orthodontic degree from St. Louis University. She started the brace place in 1987.

ANNE E. MCMANUS

Anne E. McManus is an orthodontic assistant with 27 years of orthodontic experience. She’s been with the brace place for 18 years. “My children were treated at the brace place; not only was their experience pleasant but their teeth are beautiful and so are their smiles.”

ANN DIESO

Ann Dieso has been a receptionist for the brace place for 21 years. “I enjoy working with the public and especially the children. I always love seeing the children smiling at their appointments.”

CHERYL DRAGON

Cheryl Dragon is an orthodontic assistant with 12 years of orthodontic experience and 24 years of dental experience. She’s been with the brace place for 9 years. “It’s great to be in an environment where everyone can work together and help each other when necessary. My children are happy to show off their beautiful “brace place” smiles!”

DIANE SURDEL

Diane Surdel is an orthodontic assistant with 34 years of orthodontic experience. She’s been with the brace place for 19 years. “I enjoy working at the brace place because I love the work I do and the girls I work with. Every patient has their own story to tell and keeps each day interesting.”

KAREN SMITH

Karen Smith is an orthodontic assistant with 20 years of experience. “Working as a clinical orthodontic assistant allows me to be very “hands on” which I find challenging and stimulating as well as rewarding. The atmosphere at the brace place is a very pleasant environment and I am happy to be a part of the team.”

MARISA BALLICK

Marisa Ballick is an office manager at the brace place. She has 22 years of orthodontic experience and has been with the brace place for 20 years. “I enjoy meeting new patients and like the relationships built from seeing them through their treatment. The brace place is a very professional and friendly environment and I’m proud to be a part of it.”

MARTINA THOMAS

Martina Thomas is our on-site lab technician. She has 25 years of laboratory experience and has been with the brace place for 25 years. “I make all the retainers, splints and study models and love my job." Having a lab on site allows our patients to receive their retainers more quickly so that they can maintain their beautiful “brace place” smiles.

PAMELA VOLOVIC

Pamela Volovic is an orthodontic assistant with 17 years of orthodontic experience and 13 years of dental experience. She’s been with the brace place for 17 years. “I enjoy working at the brace place because I am a part of creating beautiful smiles!”
